Girona is a city full of legends. Throughout its history, countless events have taken place here, which have given rise to curious anecdotes and stories. Did you know that the Sant Feliu area hides a dark past? Prostitution, crimes and drug addiction are some of the events that marked an era in the neighborhood.
We will discover some secret sculptures and their meaning, hidden maps, the smallest square in Europe… Through narrow alleys we will enter the Jewish Quarter, which hides some secrets underground, and we will talk about the imposing Cathedral, full of unknowns and mysteries.
Little by little we will climb to cross the wall until we reach the Monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants and walk through the Chinese Quarter. Why was it called like this? What happened? What do we find there today?
We will answer these and many more questions until we reach the end point of the journey: a strange statue with the figure of a Lioness. Without a doubt, the best-known legend of Girona and one of the symbols of the city. Are you coming?

How can your tours be free?
Our Free Tours are based on tips only! Part of this will go to cover marketing and operational expenses. In this way we achieve great quality in the tours, immense guest satisfaction and that we also make sure that, regardless of the budget, everyone can enjoy Girona as much as we do.
When does the tour run?
The Mysteries & Legends Free Tour runs, in Spanish, from Tuesday to Saturday*. In summer, from the 15th of June to the 15th of September, it starts at 17:00. The rest of the year, from the 16th of September to the 14th of June, it starts at 17:00.
*The Mysteries & Legends Free Tour doesn’t run on the 1st, 5th & 6th of January and 24th, 25th, 26th & 31st of December.
How long is the tour?
The Mysteries & Legends Free Tour lasts for approximately one and a half hours, but it can be a little longer depending on the rhythm of the group.
Where does the tour end?
The Mysteries & Legends Free Tour finishes in the Cul de la Lleona, the Lioness’ Ass.
Does the tour operate if it rains?
Yes! Raincoat, umbrella and off we go. Only in very extreme cases can the tour be canceled. If that happens, you will be notified via WhatsApp or email as far in advance as possible.
How do I find you?
Once at the meeting point you will see our guides, wearing T-shirts and umbrellas with our turquoise blue color.
Is it suitable for people with reduced mobility or babies in a stroller?
In the Mysteries & Legends Free Tour we climb to the upper parts of the Barri Vell and cross different flights of stairs. Although the pace is slow and the climb is not very high, it can be a bit tedious.
We're a big group. Can we still join?
We always try not to leave anyone out but, sometimes with large groups, it is difficult to organize the tour and the guides. We always ask that, if you are a group of more than 10 people, you contact us by mail or WhatsApp and we will see how we can solve it.
