Our Free Tours are based on tips only! Part of this will go to cover marketing and operational expenses. In this way we achieve great quality in the tours, immense guest satisfaction and that we also make sure that, regardless of the budget, everyone can enjoy Girona as much as we do.
When does the tour run?
The Free Tour Girona runs, in English, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays*.
*The Free Tour Girona doesn’t run on the 1st & 6th of January and 25th and 26th of December.
How long is the tour?
The Free Tour Girona lasts for approximately two hours, but it can be a little longer depending on the rhythm of the group.
Where does the tour end?
The Free Tour Girona is a circular tour. It finishes where it starts: in Plaça Independència.
Does the tour operate if it rains?
Yes! Raincoat, umbrella and off we go. Only in very extreme cases can the tour be canceled. If that happens, you will be notified via WhatsApp or email as far in advance as possible.
How do I find you?
Once at the meeting point you will see our guides, dressed with our turquoise blue or emerald green colors.
Is it suitable for people with reduced mobility or babies in a stroller?
Yes! For the most part of it, the Free Tour Girona runs through flat places. The climb up to the Cathedral area is slow and not very steep. There is only one place where it is essential to go up and down stairs, although you can take a longer way and avoid them.
We're a big group. Can we still join?
We always try not to leave anyone out but, sometimes with large groups, it is difficult to organize the tour and the guides. We always ask that, if you are a group of more than 6 people, you contact us by mail or WhatsApp and we will see how we can solve it.
